Colours.

Colours.

A Poem by Paul Bell

She wore blue tights on the Monday

Tuesday it was green

Bright orange on the Wednesday

Thursday it was cream

I predicted black for the Friday

She wore trousers

Hate that girl.

here I perceive it as an unpredictable nature of a girl which makes you wonder about her..here colors of dresses imply the character or a 'shadow of mind' which changes within a day..while 'tights' signifies a bold nature then the next day with 'trousers' describes a little restricted mind..

I was not expecting this when I was first drawn to the title. I was thinking of kids crayons or rainbows maybe but hey, this was so good. Her name was not Mandy by any chance? Thank you for this, N

Paul Bell,
"colours" So tell me, did this lighthearted poem emanate from an actual relationship or a school mate, or some such thing?
It is interesting how people find comfort in routine. When that pattern changes it is kind of a shock right? Blue, green, orange, cream black; that's good, nice pattern. A person could feel smart at knowing or feeling another color is in the offing...........Oh man! "She wore trousers; hate that girl." The nerve of her. Hmmm........Well here is to fresh beginnings. Blessings. Kathy.

Glad to help. lol
A playful and spontaneous piece that brings a chuckle. Love and hate can be so closely related it's rather odd. Sometimes we just love to hate in a loving way, if I am making any sense.
