My Mother

My Mother

A Poem by Paul williams

My mother

Everyday i think of things
I did once as a child,
The fun, the laughs, the smiles i had,
The good times all the while.
The warm bed that i slept in,
The house i called my home,
The exciting christmas mornings,
The back garden full of snow.
All this i remember,
But above all i dont forget,
Who made these memories happen,
Through her hard work and sweat.
Although i dont always show
How i appreciate you mum,
I love you and am thankful
Of what you made me become.
And now as i hold my own daughter,
I smile at her and say,
Without your gran grans love,
We wouldnt be here today.

This is sooooo sweet! Your words were so touching and heartfelt. You expressed the emotions towards your mother exquisitely. The flow of this poem was perfect. I was able to read right through it without having to stop to make sense of the structure. Thank you for sharing and please return the favor by reviewing one of my pieces.
