Wonder

Wonder

A Poem by penguin

I wonder if he lives in the stars
Constantly looking down on us all
Watching our lives slowly unravel

I wonder if he's still an artist
Who paints the sky in a kaleidoscope of colors
Just perfect enough for us to see the difference

I wonder if she still likes teddy bears
The creatures she still had conversations with, even in her dying days
The ones she called her friends when people just weren't enough

I wonder if clouds aren't what they seem
Not precipitation being gathered in the sky in random patterns
They're really his breath on a cold day
Actually her tears of joy that froze midair
Its funny how they still walk the earth

I wonder how I got here
I wonder how you are reading this
I wonder if you are real
I wonder if you can hear me now

Can you hear me now?

i am real, and i hear you---this makes me think of recent losses...people who were in my life for the extent of it...and now are glaringly missing.

I hear you! Pain and grief and reaching to the sky for answers- so raw and heart-breaking. I wish you peace and comfort. Awesome poem.
