Memories of Hope

Memories of Hope

A Poem by Pennington

Like a heart beating in my chest
She held me high above all the rest
And clutched me like a babe to her breast

And anytime that I was lost
in times of storm seas was tossed
She saved me then, she paid the cost

I've lost her now, I search all around
I search for clues upon the ground
I've lost her now, I know she never will be found
