Ever noticed how easy it is

To turn away, than confront a problem

Ever noticed how easy it is

Putting hands in your pockets, than to give

Ever noticed how easy it is

To tell a lie, than speaking the truth

Ever noticed how easy it is

Mocking others, than embrace diversity

Ever noticed how easy it is

Falling to temptation, than to abstain

Ever noticed how easy it is

Breaking a heart, than to mend one

Ever noticed how easy it is

Constantly thinking of yourself, than caring for others

Ever noticed how easy it is

Not to notice me, than to see who I’m talking about

I think a lot of people find it easier not to notice, rather than to face up to an issue. But even people who do, seem to do it with an ulterior motive. (ie, what's in it for themselves?). Such is the condition of the human species. Your poem is very effective, and the repeating line emphasises this. Well done.

Superb allegorical poem and image. Our shadow-self who knows the reality of ourself...unfortunately too easy to turn away from it and fool ourselves. Great couplet form, flow and cadence. Kudos!
