After The Sunrise

 

A new day rose

As a soft orange greeted the morning sky.

A scene fitting for the day…

A start of a new life.

 

Watching together,

As the sun made its ascent to the sky,

We looked forward to what was taking place

After the sunrise.

 

A whole new journey unfolding,

Just as ready to display God’s handiwork.

As the sunset emitted beautiful colors,

We would soon exchange beautiful words.

 

Adrift were our dreams,

As we begun our life as one by and by.

What a lovely day…

After the sunrise.

 

True and strong,

Promises made to keep.

Forever in the heart,

Love so deep.

 

Blessings God has imparted

In a beautiful array in His grace so wise.

A life together set in motion

After the sunrise.
