Shining Light

Shining Light

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Shining Light

Shining light

High in the sky,

A guide divine,

Showing the way to the Baby Christ.

Brighter than the rest,

The star heavenly shone.

Giving its best

To show the only way home.

It did not falter,

But let its light lead to the King.

A gift from the Father,

So many hearts He could bring.

Just as the Baby Jesus nestled in the hay,

Warm and snug where He was destined,

He wants to live in your heart today,

And someday join Him where life has no end.

Now He delights in you being the light,

Pointing others to His saving grace.

A light not to be hidden, but burn bright,

Shining His love each day.

You took me to Christ's day of birth and the scene of the nativity in your lines. A poem of strong faith. At this time of year, that was a pleasant place to go. Season's greetings.

Chris
