Golden Waves

Golden Waves

A Poem by Reddog19

Golden waves, golden waves,
sadistic master of golden waves.
Sitting atop your perch so high,
Watching all who pass wither and die.

Making you the ruler of the world below,
Hollowed hills of graves bestowed
Upon your shining glist'ning hands
Made from underground immortal man.

Eyes that shine like demon's core
And watch with pseudo-tenderness
As all they know walks away
To become a stick in wheaten fray.

Smile as winding as Alfred's Crooked Road
Pupils as black as a starless night.
Master of deceit and heavy grounds
Asleep within your knighted gown.

Charmless beauty, heartless love,
Called upon the rotting dove
To take the place within my heart,
The place to which is Lover's Mark.
