Sleepless

Sleepless

A Poem by Anna

The halls are wide and strewn with heaven's stars,
white walls adorned in pearls under the sea's heaving chest.
The palace lay in sleep upon the sands of the deep,
but still my mind runs on wild paths and finds no rest.

The warm waters engulf the flourishing royal gardens,
little ocean flowers bloom amidst the stinging thorns.
The metallics of an armored soul haunt my very footsteps,
and even the fall of petals is a sounding golden horn.
