WITHOUT A TRACE

WITHOUT A TRACE

A Poem by SHEEMA HUQ
"

A Poem

"

Feisty waves, stream with synchronised motions,

     splashing sultry devotions, rippling aligned,

steadily in situ, gushing as froffy, white heads

tipple, in to lively, virtuous, river rituals.

The mystic moon is vaguely present,

     a faint, elegant, icicle crescent.

Frailty is transcendent, as a precious glove

of maroon velvet, (a precarious gift,

     received, following a tiff) ,

haphazardly falls from grace,  at an

     atmospheric pace,  sinking

     effortlessly among fastidious waves,

     without barely a trace.

Keen, lovely phrasing: ' The mystic moon is vaguely present, ~ a faint, elegant, icicle crescent. ' Your sea, your waves, are ever-moving, enveloping that glorious moon whatever its span. You've reminded me of the eternal connection of moon and tide - a miracle in fact. Rather like love and all its brilliant or gentle guises.

I like the feeling of night with water and moon. Nice imagery; it was captivating. :)

Hi Mark, I'm much obliged.
like love, like the waves, they come hard, they crash upon us...hearts taken in, taken up...carried

and then often just dumped on the beach alone and hurting...

but the ride is full of feeling...and at least we lived.

Thank you so much Jacob.
This has a rhythm all it's own, flows from first word to last..."The mystic moon is vaguely present", I'd say it's truly present in your poetry Sheema, outstanding read.

Thanks so much for your visit and review :)
a faint, elegant, icicle crescent.

Your words seemed to micmic the flow of the stream. Loved the metaphor above.

Thanks for reviewing :)
Soft and serene I found your words this day. With love everything is possible and so much more beautiful. Very nicely done my friend.

Thank you so much Jack!
Without a love trace how can I find you among the stars and the mystic moon of gifted moments when love is awaiting anxiously in frail transcendance and sultry devotions...My take on this wonderful poem...Bravo
