The Plague

The Plague

A limerick composed about the old times and the plague.

The Plague

The Old Times really weren't a bore,

Though sometimes it could be a chore,

Reading old books of wondrous lore

Would make you want the plague.

Cleaning wouldn't be so bad,

You might even be armor-clad,

But I'm sure it would make you sad

If you got the plague.

Watching those sores fester and grow,

In new places you didn't know,

You'd wince as you'd see others go

If they were killed by plague.

Now you're lying on a wagon,

Dreaming of drinking many flagons,

Or slaying evil, fiery dragons,

But you're dead! You've got the plague.

Author's Note

Sagemind
I tried to make it funny and I used a style of poetry I haven't done much. Still, I think I pulled it off fairly well. What do you guys think?
