Broken.

Broken.

A Poem by Sarah Stephen

I'm fragile.

If I fall I break.

If you don't catch me

I shatter.

If you don't piece me

back together

I lay broken.

Leave me

like this,

and I won't ever

be restored.

I just

Lay broken

On the cold floor

Wishing for ever more

That you will find me

And glue me back together.

Hi Sarah,
A good poem with good emotion. Personally I think ending on your penultimate line would have more impact.

Simple yet effective. Anyone who has been in love can relate I am sure. Well done. Keep it up!

Reminds me of a saying my gram used to say (she was Irish)

Once the bottle is broken the whiskey spills and no one but the ants get to have a nice and jolly time.

works the same for human hearts
