Lost in the Static

Lost in the Static

A Poem by Sazaku
"

"
Sun-withered roses,
no more strength to stand.
Closed doors and bruises
go hand in hand.

Wall of heavy shields
dented from both sides.
Voice hoarse, heart steeled.
Never let them see you cry.

What does it mean
if we dream
of the moonlight?

What does it mean
when we scream
til the first light?

How does it feel
to never heal
from the last fight?

Where do we go
once we know
that it's not right?

...

Pictured life
Inspired aspirations
Replaced by strife
and complications.

Crumbled statue
Silent misanthrope.
Lingering value...
at least, so he hopes.

Author's Note

Sazaku
Just a couple thoughts
blowing in on the wind.

Drifting free, finally caught -
ramblings of a mind undisciplined...

This is amazing, Sazaku! One of the best poems I've ever read on writerscafe.
