Charmed

Charmed

A Poem by Scarlet Opal

I try not to linger in moments you've inspired:
A missed touch, an absent invite...
Memories of longing that I dare not desire.

Sometimes temptation triggers in my mind
Your tender voice, my teasing charm...
Tantalizing visions that I wish I'd leave behind.

Your silent face echoes inside of my dreams
As an airy song, a forgotten film...
Pieces of soul art that you'll probably never see.

My heartstrings are bursting in a sudden rush --
My aching flame, your soothing care...
Lovelorn truths that ignite my glowing crush.

But no matter what should be,
Only one thing is true:
I love the irresistable feeling
Of thinking about you.
