Color Me Happy

Is happiness blue like the ocean;
rolling on waves and foam?
Is happiness green like a forest;
a living and breathing home?

Is happiness red like a flaming sunset;
falling earthward in an autumn sky?
Is happiness white as morning innocence;
shining us through days gone by?

Could it wrap us in sacred black;
like the soft blanket of a starless night?
Might it move through us in earthen brown;
as whisping sandy winds drift in flight?

Does happiness glow pink like a lover's cheek;
reflecting the love felt inside, eternally?
Perhaps it dwells in lavender horizon's;
emanating softly through the heart of me?

Is happiness a vivid yellow sunrise
shattering darkness to bring a new dawn?
Or could it be the misted gray
of rolling fog on a new meadow lawn?

Happiness is a rainbow of cheery delight

Shades of radiant joy met by happenstance

Happiness is a quiet, temporal moment

A kaleidoscope of blissful consequence

Ahh! This is superb! I had a little British voice in my head narrating it the whole time I read it -- which is not a bad thing, believe me. The imagery is astounding. I loved the rhythm and the rhyming patterns that were not once broken, something a lot of poets tend to forget. This is a very relaxing, light, airy and easygoing (need I say more? you get my point) read. Keep writing and collaborating! I can't wait to see more :)
