I'm Sorry

This is a poem for a loved one from a person that messed up .

I’m not the best at poems so i will not even try
Just a small couple of lines to tell you how sorry i am
for making you cry.

I wanted to show you how i felt for you
but one night which i regret
all i did was show you pain and kill your trust
easy to lose it hard to gain
but no matter how much time it needs
second minutes  days and months
I'll try to earn it
I've told you how sorry i am before
but words don’t make it better
so i hope my actions in the future
show you how sorry i am for breaking your heart
i want to be able to mend it and
have us happy again.
i want a smile on your face
I want to show you how much i love you
instead of hurting you
roller coaster or not its all worth it
Your worth the moon the sun & everything
I may not show it the right way
but i love you and I’m deeply sorry

I'm almost mad at Fate for having you post this and me read it... But I'm not. This poem has basically said everything I want to say to a dear ex-friend of mine. Thanks so much for the read, I'm always awed when someone elses poem captures my heart in any way when they had no thought me of in mind. A lovely poem in its sadness and hope.

I felt a tug on my heart while reading this. If the apologe is not accepted than move on the person apologised to didn't deserve it in the first place. For it is human to err.

Having such a sweet and sympathetic apology
almost makes the broken heart worthwhile.

I find this piece sort of puzzling, perhaps it is
because I have never before seen an apology for
a broken heart.

As usual with this author, the writing is clear, to
the point . It is almost crisp in style.
