walnut accent hat

walnut accent hat

A Poem by Shirlena

break down  your brown hat …wear in it

bring the decorations forged with Crayola whimsy

…-orchestrating pictures livid heat to quietude

trading more greens for amber, woodsy reds and citrine

small coincidence we like the same hues as we are both warm

frequenting a few extra cleansing showers, braggin' up storms bout

there being a crispness in the air influencing humans

already prone to snuggle

steam from steeping cinnamon and pumpkin aromas

some it’s mo’ nutmeg argyle attire with wine accents

pecan sweet potatoes yesterdays contemplate bridling

honey coated teas drawn from ceramic cup and well…

those cozy armed gentleman with charm… could just eat them up

throw round conversations of cobblestones places rarely traveled

watching squirrel couples chase acorns while long slow walks unravel

that’s why you still a show stopper…distinguished nutty roots exposed

love to see you make your back here
an entrance the way that walnut brim

highlights silver at temples…

play with the shadows across your nose

Wow, using the senses~ I seem to be thinking Autumn here
Hope I am right.
The smells, the tastes, and the colors mix it all together!
