Missing You

Missing You

A Poem by Andromeda
"

i need a better title

"

What is it that screams in the night,

When I am all alone?

What is it that screams in the night,

Concealed in your voice—

I always answer back;

It leaves me no choice.

Your face in the closet hides,

And I swear it

Is

Your voice that cries out

In the lonely darkness of the night.

I can feel your ghost breathing on my neck—

Breathing on my insides,

Even my skin can’t keep

The screaming

Out.

How will the years pass by

If all I can ask is

Why?

When all I can imagine

All I can hear

All I can love

Is you

Cry?

Love you crying, screaming

In the fright of night,

And

Why?

Because it means you are still here and I

I

I

Am not

So fully alone;

You have not left me

On

My

Own.

I was thinking something like "Nighttime" but I don't know if that quite works either. I shall ponder.
Lovely, as usual.
