About Me

Je m'appelle Lauren. I'm very dramatic. Other random things about me:
- I have a passionate love for all things ironic.
- 80% of what I say is sarcastic.
- I like big words. They are fun.
- I am totally addicted to Starbucks and Borders.
- I have an ability to start political debates and philosopical discussions anywhere, especially if I am drinking coffee or tea.
- I think that the arts should be in higher standards than they are currently.
- I love big and flashy earrings.
- Music is one of my favorite things in life.
- Rock is my favorite kind of music, and I love all subdivisions of rock (70s, 80s, Classic, Alternate, Metal, Emo, etc.)
- I hate it when people cheat in games. I used to cheat, but now I can't stand it.
- I psychoanalyze everyone I meet.
- I love to meet new people. I will usually start a conversation with anyone, but if I don't, just say hello to me and I promise I will find something to discuss with you.
- I am majoring English Literary and Cultural Studies, Psychology, and Political Science with a minor in French.

I Will Greet this Day

"I will greet this day with love in my heart. And how will I do this? Henceforth will I look on all things with love and be born again. I will love the sun for it warms my bones; yet I will love the rain for it cleanses my spirit.

I will love the light for it shows me the way; yet I will love the darkness for it shows me the stars. I will welcome happiness as it enlarges my heart; yet I will endure sadness for it opens my soul. I will acknowledge rewards for they are my due; yet I will welcome obstacles for they are my challenge.

To do anything truly worth doing, I must not stand back shivering and thinking of the cold and danger, but jump in with gusto and scramble through as well as I can."

~ Og Mandino (1923 - 1996)

The truth within your consciousness is like the horizon that recedes before you. As you journey towards your inner quest in the direction of the leading edge of your belief acceptance. And your knowledge and understanding of the prevailing path grows, the next ascending possibility will always beckon you. For wisdom brings together within the truth of your existence, your souls essence, in which is attained by your own experience. Pursue your goal of achieving the truth within your reality of consciousness, in the most direct manner. The paradox is of course, is that you are both the voyager and the pathway; the treasure that you seek is undeveloped within you and has always been and always will be. It has not been hidden from you, you have hide from it, so wake it up, face it, accept it, than use it, by becoming it.
