Gives you a shoulder

To cry on

Doesn't kick you

When your down

Cares for you

No matter who you are

True friends

Love you for you

How lovely! A very interesting structure; I liked it. The first and last three stanzas reference friends in general, while the rest seems to focus on a single person (the verb conjugations become third person singular rather than third person plural). I'm not sure if you did that on purpose, but it was a very nice touch for me. Well said, and well written.
