Harold Camping

There’s a man called Harold Camping.

Who does a bit of prophesising.

 

He said they’d be rapture on the 21^st of May.

Nothing happened and people were gay.

 

Now he’s saying the worlds gonna end on the 21^st of October.

So I guess I’m gonna have to cancel my dinner date with Jennifer Garner.

 

If you’re reading this after that date.

Then hey, it was all just fake.

 

Or perhaps I made it into the recommended reading list of heaven.

Or maybe reading this is a punishment of hells burning coven!

Haha, how can "gay" have two meanings in this? I'm trying to picture this as a homosexual gay, but it works (in my mind) only as a happy gay.

All of this rapture talk caused a lot of commotion, fear, and happiness. Your poem encompassed all of that too, if you read between the lines.
