HEART WHISPERS

HEART WHISPERS

A Poem by Ani Ashford

If only my fingers could reach so far,
through time and space of this plane.
Each line of your face would be traced
with gentle strokes and remembered,
carefully tucked away in synapses
of star blinking memories.

I remember what you love:
Lady Ocean sends her skirts of foam
skittering across the sand and rocks,
with quiet swooshing of the ebb and flow.
Each small shell upon the shore, jewels.
Some are broken, some are whole.

In each hour of life are echoes of the living.
Is there an answer in the shadows of thought?
Do you or I only know as glass mirrors with reflection,
one soul to another?
Mind and soul awakens to know more,
no words to speak.

What soul is mine or yours,
when the window is seen from inside out,
yet the knowing gaze was outside-in?
The sun, reflects like flames of fire in your eyes.
Your footprints in the wet sand mark well your path,
balanced between today and tomorrow.

Do you or I only know as glass mirrors reflections
one soul to another

How very sad that you were not to meet in the physical plane; but how fortunate that you two were among the rare gifted to travel hand in hand; heart in heart along the astral one; and in the same time period at that.
The web of the universe connects us together and some have strands which run closer to ours than others; some that cross our thread more often; that bind more tightly. I believe we will encounter these souls in whole or in recognizable part lifetime after lifetime. They will be a part of our personal puzzle in lives past and future. You will encounter this spirit on the physical plane; you may have already, and you will again.
