Stallion of the Dark

Stallion of the Dark

A Poem by SyberRose
"

INSPIRED BY BEN HOWARDS VIDEO...OATS IN THE WATER

"

I feel haunting whispers waft across my skin,

as tumultuous tides swallow the memory of you_

and lavender shadows creep along the sands;

but the ebb and flow of the ebony ocean

torture with sighs of yesterday,

as the wind rides the stallion of the dark

beneath a black lingerie sky_

and the salty musk in the luster of once was

lingers as the night speaks within the

bittersweet language of love_

And the twilight dissolves within a fiendish sea

consumed with the interpretation of rapture.

you are welcome rose
It is a cool song Rose but your poem is a tour de force!
Such eloquence in this tale of bittersweet longing and of love that dissolved like foamed surf and was all washed up but so very impetuous while it 'lived'.
This is mesmerising. I keep wanting to go back and read again - bravo my dear friend.

"beneath a black lingerie sky_

There is a wonderfully sensual feel to these two lines. Musk and lingerie...yes....perfect. Overwhelmingly emotional and certainly bittersweet. I liked it. Lydi**
