Hiding myself

 

I hide myself

I hide my heart

I hide my emotion

I hide my face

 

I do all this so you don’t see me

I do all this so I don’t loose control

I do all this so you cant see what I am really feeling

 

I hide the tears

I hide the anger

I hide the embarrassment

I hide all of me

 

Everyone else

All around me

Knows nothing

 

Some guess

Some I tell

But not everyone

Not you

 

My shield

My invincibility

Is all in me,

Hiding myself

 

I am the best at it

Hiding

No one can find me

 

Under all these layers

Under all this protection

Under all the numbness

I am there

 

I hide my face

I hide my heart

I hide my emotion

I hide myself

Easy to hide emotion and desire. Can be safer then to show the world how you really feel. I like the pace of the poem and the ending. A very good poem.
