An Ice Fortress

An Ice Fortress

A Poem by Kiara

I stand in the ice,

Watching others stay warm.

I stand in the ice,

Letting others think what they will.

I stand in the ice,

Watching the glares,

Colder than my ice.

A man walks by,

And he stares,

But his is warm.

He stares through the ice

And really sees me.

He sees that the ice isn’t real

And slowly, the ice begins to melt.
