Lost

Lost

A Poem by Creepy Swine Guy
"

A first Haiku ... I think

"

Dementia took him.
He who showed me who I was,
Just misplaced himself.

this is excellent senryu..and so deep...the one who raised us, showed us the way, taught us so many things....helped us find a place for ourselves and then lost his...like dropping the bookmark and not finding the page again.

You know, i am not so worried that this will happen to me, I am worried it will happen to those who might love me. heartbreaking not to be recognized by your own family or loved ones.

This is excellent! Best Haiku I've ever read. Really exceptional! And it is totally the right count.

This says so much Swiney. Been there, done that, know this story all too well. I'm not sure about your syllable count, but math never was my strong suit. haiku, senryu, My-ku, no matter. I get it.
