Used by the beauty of another...

You bring me down to my knees
The beauty in your twisted smile
You come and go as you please
You have me trapped in my own denial

The beauty in the way you sway
I blindly bow to your feet
The beauty of your body as you lay
Your lies and deceit I find so sweet

Your face painted on my minds wall
Depressions leash has kept me here
Here waiting for you to call
Loneliness is my biggest fear

Your beauties light has filled the dark hole
Treat me like some kind of toy
I’m just another filling in your soul
My life has become the decoy

The beauty of your smile in the rain
Drag me along when you’re feeling low
Being with you blocked so much pain
Now alone, myself I no longer know

This poem lies right in the genre of Shakespeare with Romeo putting Rosalyn on such a pedestal, and he could barely stand to live without her. You capture great emotion that gives some imagery. Maybe some more metaphor. Although you embraced it well, the theme is a bit cliche. Be adventurous, take it in a brand new direction. Keep writing!!! I can't wait to read more!

Thanks for the review, I do realise it a bit cliche haha I just found it easy to write and decided to post it up as one of my first works. I am new to this type of writing so there is still a lot more to learn and more creations still to come!

Interesting...though I don't write to please anyone haha I just write and post for the fun of it....I normally just have random splurges of creativity and write whats on my mind, I dont have a specific way of writing or a specific genre, my works are just all over the place but have deep meanings....thanks again for your review, nice to see someone taking time to review something of mine :)
