Red

Red

A Poem by Justin Flume

And as we're soaring in the heavens

A Silent angel comes to mind

An angel of loss

An angel that will never earn itself a name

An angel of sorrow

An angel that I once thought to be my salvation

In despair I crawl

back into the deep and dark

caverns of my non existent sanity

And as we diving to the bottom of the sea

An Aging hero comes to mind

A hero of despair

A hero that will never earn his true place

A hero of fear

A hero that I once thought to be me

And I finally think back on my life

Like nothing I've ever seen

Like a flower that never fully grew

that withered and died with the rest of us

I only grew with darker and darker

feelings of hate and misery

I thought that was all that i could feel

But now

I don't even know anymore

I have no indentity left

I am no one

no one but a lifeless lie

longing to live

live freely in every sense

of the f*****g word

here's my anthem

here's my will

i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing i am nothing

chanting the words of the opressed in my contagious little head

with nothing to say

with nothing to feel

only the will to die remains in my fractured mind

Wow this is very interesting I really like the voice you add to your works. All of it to do with identity and the repetition in the second to last stanza was a great display of a unique style. Well done!

"I am no one
no one but a lifeless lie

The poem felt like a journey that already decided the end. When we give into regret and live for nothing. Hard to feel like anything. Repetition gave life and strength to the interesting poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.
