A Poem by Carmen

Mind (fragile).

This hurt brain’s baffled in

befuddlement of battles. Shattered, I’m

illusion, wrought in masterpieces by marred

and scarred self of existence. I dream to eventually

succumb to sanity.  Have I? Will oblivion into freewheeling free-thought

fancies, these in farts, sparkle; twinkling to fact?  Lost I,

reason of words.  You’re understanding?  At last, I’m

within sight of encores, exaggerated brilliantly!

These are only blurred and tainted memories;

eyes suspended in time, staring through

me. See, will you?  Perhaps

~halfway~

perhaps, you will see me

through staring time in suspended eyes.

Memories, tainted and blurred only, are these

brilliantly exaggerated encores of sight within.

I’m last at understanding you’re words of reason.

I lost fact to twinkling sparkle farts in these fancies;

free-thought freewheeling into oblivion.  Will I have sanity to succumb,

eventually? To dream I, existence of self- scarred and

marred by masterpieces in wrought illusion.

I’m shattered. Battles of befuddlement

in baffled brains hurt this

fragile mind.
