Few Words of Wisdom

Few Words of Wisdom

A Poem by

It was those few words of wisdom

which I had planned to forget,

that came back at me

as I would later regret.

In those few moments of thought

I would think them all through

and yet reach no where

as my thoughts grew and grew.

Would it be wise to listen

to those who thought they knew

of what me and myself

should and should not do?

See, I seek for a life

that is lavished and new

for a soul that may live

fullfilled and true.

But those few words of wisdom

that I had planned to forget,

came back at me

and now I solely regret.

I can feel you seeping through this poem. I can feel the regret, and somehow a yearning. A yearning to forget what you would later regret. Wonderful piece.

The poem has a bittersweet taste to it, and you can tell you put your heart and soul into it. An excellent piece and I look forward to reading more!
