Porcelain Child

Porcelain Child

A Poem by Vicky Zhuang Yi-Yin
"

This was written when I was inspired to help out with spreading awareness about Child Soldiers, and to condemn this act of violence against youths under 18.

"
An angel of innocence
Running down the street
Ignorant to insolence
Carefree and in bliss

Puerile porcelain child
Once pure and divine
Now broken and deviled
Poor porcelain child

Dark desires’ harbinger
Brings forth all hate
Now tainted, stained avenger
Frowns, scowls and irate

Puerile porcelain child
Once pure and divine
Marching on with weapons
With no more smiles…

Excellent poem. Feeling of transition is so vivid in your poem. Sad but true.. your poems shows how this world corrupts and stains the pure soul of any child.
Keep writing please and thanks for sharing.. :)
