Congradulations youth of America!

I was told to write an essay about an opinion I had on a quote given to my class in college. Well I took it a little more political than had hoped but oh well!

"

Congratulations youth of America!  P.T. Barnum could not have described you any better with his famous quote “There’s a sucker born every minute.”  Not only are the loving young Americans being born into a country where it is ok to let illegal immigrants and drug mules kill you, but if you don’t get killed you only have to wait in line for a very long time to seek medical attention!  That’s ok though, because you don’t have to pay a dime! (Except in taxes that is, if you do pay taxes at all.)  Your tax dollars will be hard at work paying for everyone elses health care, and micro dairies… That’s right! I will restate the words one more time…MICRO DAIRIES.

Iraq, 2010:  Civil Affairs Specialist witnesses multiple indecencies within the funding of Iraqi projects within the northern part of Iraq.  Not only is the soldier having to follow orders allowing these projects to take place, but also having to help follow through with the projects proposals and after actions taken to secure the project,  the project known as a micro dairy.  Micro dairies are a $500,000 project funded completely by US taxpayer dollars.  This project contains cows, feed for one year for the cows, money to start a small business, a place to store the cows, and a way to process the milk into product for selling.  The civilian workers working in northern Iraq had sent two of the micro dairies into effect in 2009, once they failed miserably they decided to try again with 4 micro dairies in 2010.  The micro dairies failed due to un fit personnel being given these dairies.  People who did not make any product, sold the cows for money, or didn’t feed the cows and after 6 months decided to ask the US government for more feed.  The two micro dairies that failed cost around 1 million US taxpayer dollars. Once the projects failed in 2010 the Civil Affairs was sent to help the civilian contractors with the project.  After countless meetings were held with the civilians and the Iraqi civilians to set ground rules a

plan was finally set.  The Iraqi civilians had to come up with a plan on how they were going to produce their product, distribute the items, what product they were going to make, and where everything would be stored and sold, this plan also included how the product may last for 10 years.  After 4 groups of Iraqi civilians came up with a plan they were screened by the civilians.  The plans the Iraqi civilians had made where horrible, to include they were roughly a page in length.  The civilians wanted to push 4 micro dairies out into the public to show that they were doing something to make themselves look good and to show production within the Iraqi community to keep their jobs.  Over all 3 million US Tax payer dollars went into these micro dairy projects.  There are currently billions more being spread out Iraq thru similar means.  Yet, America cannot lower taxes; they must be raised because we have no money?

America 2011:  Taxes increase due to new “Obama care.”  Obama care insures everyone to free health care.  Currently in Canada everyone is allowed free health care, in Canada in can take months to years to get into surgery; some Canadians come to America to get the treatment they need because Canada takes too long.  Not only is America going to face the same issue, but there are so many people

still jobless due to today’s economic state, allowing everyone free health care will keep continuously increasing taxes to an astonishingly high rate.  Yet the people who are consistently working ( middle class workers,) making minimum wage, will barely be able to afford the life style they use to live, moving them into lower middle class, or even the poor population.  If they have children the tax cuts for them will be cut in half, making life even harder.  It doesn’t matter who is paying the bills in the hospitals because it will be a “who came first” line, if you have a broken leg you may have to wait months to get a cast on it, due to everyone else who can finally see a doctor even though you are the only one that is paying.  How is this going to work for the children of America?  My child has to wait in line, no specific

pediatrician, and just some random guy who sees hundreds of people, why does my child have to be just a number?

Arizona 2010:  Borders of America come second.  There is no need for the youth of America to be safe, we have to secure Afghanistan first. Although the governor of Arizona needs 3,000 troop to help stop drug trafficking, the US can only spare 1,500 soldiers to help secure the border between Arizona and Mexico.  People have already died in Arizona, American people are afraid to leave their homes in

Arizona because of drug mules and illegal immigrants.  How far will the death toll have to reach in America before anyone realizes that we need to secure are borders in order to secure the youth of America’s future?

Now listen youth of America, just because you were born a sucker does not mean you have to be one.  P.T. Barnum may have been right in the way you were born but not how you live your life.  If something seems off within America speak up.  You have the freedom of speech for a reason.  Thousands of lives were not lost for you to be treated this way.  American troops did not die to see this country fear to go into their own back yards due to drug trafficking.  Soldiers from all over the country did not fight for higher taxes to make this great land a poverty stricken country.  Heroes of America do not fight for the right to give are money to random people from a different country without any regard for the needs of the people in America.  American troops fight for our rights, our freedoms, and the love of America.  Youth of America please do your best to keep America the most wonderful, happy, and proud land it was always meant to be.  God bless are troops and God bless America!
