I Do Believe In MeA Poem by knowmanA poem of Understanding, written in 2006If I were a god, What first would I do? Because, as it is, That would make two.
We couldn’t have that, So I’d have to make laws, Otherwise people, Would be drawing at straws.
Now if I had laws, How would they be? Well first, I would put, Knowman before me!
Now as a God, Raised to the top, I’d become everyone’s, Policeman or cop.
Now to hold the job down, And still well abide, My laws, to make easy, Would all become wide.
I wouldn’t want people, To copy me at all, In fact, not even heaven, Or hell where they fall.
And I know you will talk, So do not cuss, All that will bring, Is much, much fuss.
Now lets see, I should make, A day by the ocean, So my children will have, A place for devotion.
And in doing this thing, For all of our brothers, We need to teach honor, To fathers and mothers.
No one should kill, Or lie to a friend, Or taking his things, By stealing or lend.
But now I must look, At a side not well known, For if I were once human, You’d sure hear me grown.
No I’ll be no leader, Or any god I see, And because of odd things, I’ll just believe in me.
