I Really Can Hear You

I Really Can Hear You

Written to a child in trouble. in 2007

"

Guess who, was outside your window,

When looking at the big beautiful sky?

Who knows your hearts desires,

And there is no reason to cry.

You never really miss out on life,

You just lived it, out of touch,

It’s not drugs, and drinks, and sex,

Nor your love, that’s been your crutch.

No small area, no matter where,

Not a cell, or booth, or Room,

Has the power of God, dear friend,

To make you feel this doom.

We sometimes think were left alone,

And all we do, never seems done,

It makes us stress, very much,

And leaves us, nowhere to run.

We pay for the things we do wrong,

It covers all our crimes,

It’s really called “Experience”,

It costs us all our dimes.

And when it’s really deep within,

And you are really in a cell,

It’s the Thinking, that you do,

That makes it feel like Hell.

It’s hard to look into a mirror,

And face all the things you’ve done,

What really hurts the most to me?

Is hurting my Daughter and Son.

But there’s Him, who hears you too,

And I’m certain He can see,

He helps all of those people,

Souls like you and me.

So when we think we’ve lost it all,

And the Devil thinks he’s won,

Just ask God, my Child of love,

And your sins are all undone!

Now this advice comes from me,

I hope it’s helped you heal,

Because of you, my loving Child

This is how I feel..!

"Just ask God, my Child of love,'
And your sins are all undone!"
I agree with the logic in the poem. We do pay for all our sins. But we must know kindness and try to live a good life. Thank you for the outstanding poem.
