One Way

One Way

A Poem by Chris Agathos Black
"

A little thought that's bothered me for a long time.

I often find myself thinking about different realities if I had done things differently. Different timelines that show what could've  happened. What I could have been. How things should have happened. Recently I promised myself that I would unearth my true self. Be more extroverted and vocalize myself more. Maybe it's time I let people know that I exist.

I often find myself thinking about what could've been. It's safe to say I have a lot of regrets. But if I hang on to the past and dwell on what "could have" or "should have" happened, I'll never have time to grow. I'll never age. I'll be an incomplete man. A fallen god, spoiled by the desires to "patch things up" or to "redo" certain things. From here on out, I won't aim my efforts at such things. Whatever happens, just happens. The mistakes of the past welds a godly future for me.
