Rain

If you could be anything

              from nature,

What would you be?

The teacher asks me.

 

If I could be anything

I would be rain.

 

I can be calm and gentle

Giving you a sense of

relaxation

 

I can be destructive

Causing floods and reeking

havoc

 

I can be relaxing and

destructive

I can be gentle and

powerful

I can be good and bring life

I can be bad and take away life.

 

I am strong and powerful,

calm and gentle.

I wish my teacher asked us interesting questions like that at school... Nature can so mirror our own emotions, this is really interesting to picture yourself as such an element of power... made me think, great write.
