Besotten

lets stay right here on this buttercup

where these lucious petals form,

protecting us from any coming storms

just you and me

fancy free

in the middle of our secret place

there's only room for two,

we'll find a way to make this work

it was meant to be,

don't you see it, too?

or is it only me 

who feels this way,

interpreting every hint and clue

for signs that point to, it's ok

what's that I hear

my eyes deceive and I was incorrect

there was nothing there

other than a lonely girl

Besotten is such a wonderful word. A beautiful word. Yet it's glorious connotations don't allow for reality.
