Stillness

Stillness

A Poem by Chirag Kumar

Stillness

carving delicate breaths out of
InsAnItY

existing in our daily lives.

Feeling the respirations

magnifies observations

of minute happenings

from wanderings (inside)

to conflicts )outside(

Time glides...

Comfort subsides

But I remain one.

Mind tries to escape

from restraint

but I bring her back

to stillness

with peace.

To the mortals

darkness prevails everywhere

Body cries in despair.

But I see a Light

A defining Light

Shining in the midst of the night.

And my soul

strikes a cord with the Supreme

to attain tranquility.

That's when I stop existing

and start living.
