Release You

Release You

A Poem by Austin Hennings

Release the grip you've held for so long
Branches break when birds fly
Tire swing on that cherry tree in your backyard
Where the bees napped when they couldn't sing
Stars erupt from the moon
Hollow at its core
Still promises of the good times
Break a picture frame
So we won't soon forget
To the moon and back
