How forever ends

How forever ends

A Poem by Bhavya Kaushik

Ashes of silence burns in the atmosphere,

What can I do now, to save this rupture?

I just stand there at a corner to stare.

The death of my forever " now so near.

I " the victim, searches for a getaway,

As you start to shatter my vanity.

You lacerate away every memory of ours,

Without any sense of mercy or sanity.

I was your guide for life, when you were naive.

You were my Galatea and I was your Pygmalion.

And now I’m a ghost, who feels no longer alive,

Now I’m nobody, the unseen hand " the Oblivion.

There it goes into ashes "another piece of forever,

A remembrance for the time we had together.

Please! My Galatea! Do not burn the beginning,

That piece deserves a place very special.

You burnt away almost everything that I had,

Anything - That can remind me of your existence.

Today, it seems like as if you never came in my life,

Only silence signifies the aftermath of the annihilation.

But in my mind I still remember that piece of forever,

When my eyes were blinded by nothing but the colour red.

When I thought that you would stay with me till forever,

But… I forgot, I forgot that someday…even forever ends.

The word Forever is just a word, it has no meaning in reality. At least for the mortals like us..But the paradox is that we want to listen to it again and again as it adds to the beauty of life!

you're a poet of a heart. I am not sure how this sounds, but when I read (this poem or other of yours), I touches somewhere in the deep. This makes me say you're a poet of a heart.
Deep emotions hided beneath every word, it gives it a special appearance forming a strong poem.
