smile my way

smile my way

A Poem by V M Smith
"

this is for the flagger that stopped me the other day.

"

i like her.
her loud uniform
matches perfectly
her personality.
i do not know
her name.
never will
most likely.
but i love her kind,
"i know this sucks" smile.
it made my day.
and i'd like to thank her
for smiling my way

oh, I like this very much. One small gesture. One she may not have put any thought into, made a difference in your day. May be you will see her smile again. Or may be you are just meant to share a smile with someone new.

Your words did make me smile!

I like how this piece represents the idea that something as seemingly inconsequential as a simple smile can do monumental things to a persons life. This is a perfect submission into the Your Nobel Prize contest. Thanks for entering it. Nice work.
