Two Worlds

Two Worlds

A Poem by Charlène Boutin
"

I sometimes feel as if dreams were another world...

"

In my dreams you are there.

Your hand goes through my hair.

I can feel that you care.

When I wake you are gone.

And I feel so alone,

Chilled with fright to the bone.

I've lost the habit of hoping a long time ago,

Since that hurts me also.

You've learned to play with my feelings

And use it against me

Just so you can be bragging

While I cry heavily.

You don't care at all about others,

(and you don't have many manners)

But what hurts me more

Is the way you leave me sore.

My dream is my secret place;

My personal space.

That's how it used to be;

In my dreams it was just you and me,

But now I've lost the hope I had.

It leaves me more than mad,

More than sad;

It's the beginning of something bad.

A loss of trust,

And if I must

The start of horrid hate.

I've lost the control of my fate;

But only in my dreams you care.

Outside my dreams I just feel bare.

This is a strong spill of emotion, expressed with conviction and good artistic style. I like the rhyme and flow, all the lines seem to work well together.

About
There's more to this world than we see. Artists are gifted with the vision of this world, and can bring forward these visions to others. The world I see goes beyond my eyes, beyond my own life. I hop.. more..
