I remember no world

I remember no world

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

Only an empty void...

"

I remember no world

Before her shadow on my skin

Only chaos

Only an empty void

And then she came

In poetry and prose

Etched sunrise ink

Across my soul

Aroused was the scent of her sea

The shores of her rivers

Ancient, mystic waters

Carrying me to raven calls

For moments our flames ignited

Flowed fierce into one

Our fragile flaws

Melted into the pleasure of Being

Before her loving goodbye

Brought a desolation

I could not comprehend

Reminded me of the universe

In its unborn nothingness

She asked me once

If I believed in miracles

And I know I must

Waking every dawn

Clinging to the hope of seeing

The Wonderland of her smile…

Love the sentiment and word play in this piece. The imagery takes you away to a glorious location. Oh what love can do.

Yes... endless inspirations...
Your sensitivity to her whole affect sings out in this poetry like eight part harmony.
It is indeed like trying to "un-ring" a bell...
Frankly, why would one want to remember a time before such a compelling relational experience. This poem hints about the relativity of life's meaningful moments and the lingering of time past within time yet unknown.
I loved the read Craig.

I think when we miss someone it is their smile that is the thing most remembered, beautifully imprinted somewhere on our souls.

Beautiful...a power comes, enriching, enlightening, possibly enobling...leaves with wonder and hope..

I like the alliteration (flames...flowed fierce...)

Hope.. that is the miracle I now cling to.. Thank you for your uplifting words.. always, Marie..
people come into our lives and touch us in different ways.. some radiate such light that shines in our souls.. some sparkle, some twinkle, and some just glow.. I have been enchanted by the poetry and prose of some and can see how such a sensitive, romantic spirit such as yours can too.. I also know what it feels like to lose them.. drifting away carrying part of my heart with them.. those fierce flames flowing and then the chill of longing long after they are gone.. Hold on to that hope my talented friend.. especially if she reads this.. you are awesome and I hope she knows and appreciates.. ((hugs)) to ya.. beautifully bittersweet...
