Sky's light

Sky's light

A Poem by Brian Custer

Skylight

Brian Custer

From the one side to the next

the horizon’s tiny sky,

once battered black,

 has illuminated

the sky filling full of light

(are we supposed to see this?)

All the black has turned white.

It's come just in time

in time for us all to see.

This is happening

 for you and me,

forces unite;

led by uncertainty,

wills changing unanimously,

ultimately;

we all just want to be free.

To sail, to soar,

to coast and float.

To trip, to fall,

to plummet and summit.

To write, to speak,

to dance and romance.

To say no, to disagree,

to resent and repent.

For you, for her, for him and me.

We all should be free

to see this blinding our eyes.

This light (baring from inside her)

luminescent, omnipresent

caresses the thought,

she says simply;

 hope is not lost!

Hope is not lost! Great message!
