Nothing

Nothing

A Poem by Elise

Without you the sunshine's no more,

Birds swallow their song, flowers wither into ash.

Day turns to night, the world stops spinning.

Love is lost to darkness the moons glow becomes an endless sea.

Nothing is left but a life plagued with emptiness and the insistent scream of lost love.

I feel nothing, I hear nothing, I see nothing

Without the light of my life I am nothing.

Beautiful, heart achingly sad and poignant words, for the loss of love. A feeling we canal relate to, yet is individual and unique. Thank you for sharing your words.

I'll second that opinion.
"Birds swallow their song, flowers wither into ash.
Day turns to night, the world stops spinning.
Love is lost to darkness the moons glow becomes an endless sea."
...i love this line...
and this poem does express an void/forlorn/"Nothing mood"...
---a superb piece of writing---great poem...:-)
