Sleeping Thoughts

It's amazing where my mind wanders when I'm trying to sleep...

Lying alone,

Thoughts of us two,

Of you laid next to me,

Feeling of how I felt come flooding back.

Your warmth,

It surrounds me.

Your smile,

It brightens the darkness.

Your touch,

It gives me shivers.

Your kiss,

It leaves me shaking.

And then I'm back in my room again,

The darkness surrounding me engulfs everything,

Thoughts of you remain,

Everything brightens.

When all my thoughts leave me,

Only you still remain,

In darkness,

In light.

With you near I feel,

Like I am home,

And then I,

Can finally,

Sleep.
