Spring

Spring

A Poem by CRZ

Look at the red roses that are rising

Look its so sensitive so surprising

But then pollen is just potent

But pills make it impotent

So no more snow, no more hail

It is time to breathe, inhale.

Smell the grass, see and hear the ice cream truck pass

enjoy the weather whether is slow or fast

Adore this season, It will never commit treason

It comes in a certain time for a certain reason

Love the rhymes and alliteration...you seem to have a pretty good grasp on those devices :)

Some interesting lines here CRZ, I can feel the metaphor throughout. In the line, "enjoy the weather whether is slow or fast" I would suggest editing it to say "it's slow or fast" but I still understood it either way. I particularly enjoyed reading and rereading these lines, "So no more snow, no more hail
It is time to breathe, inhale."

While you words are strong and well chosen, some punctuation would make this piece stand out even more. EX// "Look its so sensitive, so surprising." The comma give us a moment to pause and take a breath while reading.

I love how you talk about spring with such adoration, it is a great time of year.

This reminds me of when my children were little...they always loved hearing the bells of the
ice cream truck coming down the street...Enjoyed your poem Jason:)

Like the structure. form and couplet meteric rhymes. It's almost in the shape of a maple leaf.
