Toy Maker

Welcome to my universe of sapphire tidal waves

Where whispering Willows pirouette all night and day

Where I can hold the stardust paintbrush for as long as I stay

In this glistening world of silver rain I can escape

From the bloody battlefields of fate-to plains of Primrose

To a vast kingdom of champagne lakes-and singing oaks

This is my fantasia, my continent of endless euphoria

My wondrous, magical emporium

Welcome to the galaxies residing behind my eyes

The utopia existing outside of space-time

Where auroras scorch the purple sky

And I have the power to hold their light

Here the night shines with the energy of one thousand quasars

I really enjoyed writing this one because the topic the poem's about meant I could literally put ANYTHING in the poem and it would make sense, since anything can happen in the human mind. As usual, tell me what you think! :)

~~ the joy you experienced is evident... ~~ this piece of poetry has exquisite images... and a level of energy that is delightfully high and is sustained throughout... i was curious to see how you would close this poem and i thought the last line did justice to every line before it... and i also think i've come across the word "quasar" for the first time in a poem... that too in such a spectacular way... (i know the word because a friend of mine is called quasar and he told us what it means)... ~~ this was definitely the heartsong of a happy toy maker... :)

This poem put me in such a happy mood. I love how you used color to help set the tone and if you used that layout to convey a certain level of energy, you greatly succeeded. I have no negatives I can say about this. It was a pleasure to read :)

Dan, I know that I can expect anything from you. Here, I was able to follow you and relate to your colorful Crayola wondor-trip!
I give credit when and where it is due and here it is due as you reach readers that using my standard fare of realism, I would not reach on my best day, until they became middle-aged and they want your poetry brand of poetry, NOW.
