This reads like a reflection on humanism... Life has far too many "isms". After all, it is not really important what we try to scrub or how we try to scrub as much as it is why we try to scrub.
If we get the "why" of life correct, the "what", "how", "when", where" and pretty much everything else seems to fall into place.
When we get it off or "wrong", we see things like the Middle East, etc...
This is a brilliant write because I think you could assign a classroom to write an essay to respond to this thought and could collect a book worth of thought from your short poetry.
Fantastic write Dale!

Wow thank you very much for the great feedback. Quite a compliment you paid me here.
Humans will always be humbled by natures fury. Many great civilizations have come and gone. Ancient knowledge forgotten. Simplicity will be remembered with or without our consent. Thank you for sharing your awareness of awareness...beautiful start

We were given the responsibility of being caretakers of all animals, insects, flora.. I have cousin that has a farm..his vegetables and beef are organic..because his land was handed down for generations. The size of his lima beans are the size of my thumb..and his cattle graze on open land. As it should be.
What a pitiful job we have done in being caretakers.. allowing mass raising and killing of animals for our consumption, how wasteful we are, how ungrateful for their sacrifice.. and our precious insects.. I think we could spare a apple or two... Great piece for thought, Little Bro !

Thank you very much big Sis for your wonderful insight.
It is tough, isn't it? We'll soon live forever -- plasticized and immortalized and preserved, but at what cost to the environment and humanity in general?

A very good question…. what is the good of living forever if it means losing our souls.
With all the preservatives in food who knows anymore what were eating and the harmful effects it has ...we're bug free but contaminated just the same..great poem..

You are so right Fran, thank you for the feedback.
Pursuing self-gain and profit, mankind has reached that point where there is no telling what is chaff and what is grain. No wonder the good and the bad often get thrashed together. Your words are as deep and eloquent as always, Dale.

Thank you hon… always glad when you enjoy my work and share your insight.
Very vivid words here. It is true, so many of our foods are genetically modified. Fertilizers used on our vegetables are changing the nutrition level of the food. Well said. Lydi**
true Dale, we are what we eat, we want our vegetables pretty and bug free and to last longer but what are we putting into our bodies when we eat them? food for thought, well done.
