Out Of Focus

Out Of Focus

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

What happens when Casper

Becomes the not so friendly ghost,

Cause people run screaming

When he just wants to be included in life?

For we all have our breaking points,

Just ask Bruce Banner,

That is why he warns us

“You won’t like me when he’s angry.”

Whenever superheroes battle on another

It doesn’t matter who is wrong or right

Cause we all wind up being a bomb

After all the hype has ended.

If Tom and Jerry have become

Too violent for today’s youth

How can we justify

Batting our own demons?

Should we be considering

Snow White an attack on feminism

Because she needs a man’s kiss

To bring her world to life?

So many people believe

That the media distorts the truth

But I must wonder if

The truth has people distorting the media.

Well indeed you may have raised a point here, but it is always what we perceive and carry forward with us whether we are told or not.

Tis true, thank you
Is this part of the fake news reflection, I wonder? We use what we see and read, adapt it to suit our own warped or insightful minds. Whether we're prompted or led to do that is our own responsibility - perhaps unless of course, the juggling Media lands the mess squarely in the left eye!

Worth re.reading and will, Dale. Unsure I've understood but at least want to...

What ever you take from it is never wrong for poetry is about interpretation... but yes it is based .. read more
I think we have reached a stage where we are supposed to enjoy what we are TOLD to enjoy. You raise some valid points here

Thank you very much.
dear Dale... We can take everything with a grain of salt. When we are at the beach, we hear the roar of the waves, however, "safe on the shore",
we can take it all, with grains of salt
from the waves and grains of sand through the hour glass of time. truly, Pat

dear John... An hour glass is so serene and gives us perhaps a chance to dream... truly, Pat
Things change with time and symbols change and so do their meanings and connotations. The resulting confusion is exploited by vested interests. All we can do is fight the deceptions the best we can. You are so brilliant hon.

Thank you darling, you are quite intelligent as well.
I agree. The way things are twisted to fit people's agendas is amazing. They can take the simplest idea and transform it into something else whether through political correctness or some other cause they stand for that didn't exist 5 or 10 years ago. Incredible.
